Juicy J, Chris Brown, and Quavo po’ up and sip on some syzzurp on their new collaboration “Leanin,” a standout off the Juice Man’s new mixtape Gas Face.
Leading the way, Breezy delivers his lean-loving hook over Murda Beatz’s production. “I put that syrup in the double cup,” he sings. “Chopped and screwed…Leanin’, leanin’, leanin’.”
Then, Juicy carries the theme into the track’s second verse. “Still sippin’ on the sizzurp,” he raps. “I’ve been ballin’ like Arenas and them, Wizards!”
After Brown’s infectious hook, Quavo Ratatouille adds his Auto-Tuned flavor. “Drank, drank, drank on me,” he rhymes. “Yeah, they call me Young Quavo / Drop the top, told your bitch get in, she gon’ do what I say so.”
“Leanin” samples a famous Project Pat line off “Ballers” from 1999’s Ghetty Green LP. That lyric — “Sippin’ on some sizzurp” — was then sampled and used as the hook for Three 6 Mafia’s UGK-assisted “Sippin’ On Some Syrup” single off 2000’s When the Smoke Clears: Sixty 6, Sixty 1.
