Justin Bieber has two of the top 3 spots on the Billboard Hot 100, but he isn’t letting up. On Tuesday (June 6), the pop heartthrob announced a new collaboration with David Guetta, which is set to drop this week.
“New music. This Friday. Me and @davidguetta #2U,” he tweeted.
Just yesterday, Biebs posted a list of names on his Twitter account. Guetta retweeted both posts, giving the impression that they might be connected in some way.
Fans are wondering what their collaboration will be titled. The hashtag seems to hint towards “2U” as a title, but little is known thus far.
It’s also unclear where the song will land. If it’s meant to be on Guetta’s next LP, it will likely appear on his seventh full-length project, which has already spawned “Light My Body Up” featuring Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne.
Meanwhile, Bieber — who hasn’t dropped an album since 2015’s Purpose — is on a hot streak. Currently, he appears on the No. 1 song in the country, “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, and at No. 3, as part of DJ Khaled’s star-studded “I’m the One.”
