“Both” Gucci Mane and Drake go platinum.
The 6ers‘ Return of East Atlanta Santa collaboration has surpassed the million sales marker, earning “Both” rappers a platinum plaque from the Recording Industry Association of America in the process.
This one is particularly special for Guwop because it marks his first platinum plaque as a lead artist. “#Both certified platinum,” he wrote in an Instagram post. “#ThePowerOfTheMindIsNotAJoke @champagnepapi much respect #6ers.”

Prior to “Both,” which was also remixed by Lil Wayne, Gucci had two platinum plaques, which he earned this year. One of those was for his work on Chris Brown’s Usher-assisted “Party.” The other was for his assistance on Rae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles.”
Throughout his career, Guwop has also earned a few gold plaques from the RIAA for “Spotlight,” “Wasted,” and his 2009 album The State vs. Radric Davis.
More plaques could be on the way. Most recently, The Wopster released his latest album, DropTopWop. Produced by Metro Boomin, the project also features Offset, 2 Chainz, Rick Ross, and Young Dolph.
Up next, Gucci is set to film a BET reality show about his upcoming wedding to fiancée Keyshia Ka’oir. The ceremony will reportedly cost around $1 million.
