Huncho is ready to bring unity.

Responding to a Change.org petition to add him to “The Star-Spangled Banner,” Quavo tells TMZ that he’s ready to deliver a message of peace and equality with a new version of the national anthem.

“There’s a lot going on behind the national anthem, so I would love to do it, but I want to make a 2017 national anthem for both people, for all races, and put it together,” he said. “Something that’s representing now, something that’s representing the modern-day national anthem. If I get with some good musicians, and just write something that’s very strong and powerful.”

At press time, the petition has been signed by 7,750 supporters, who believe that he should be featured on the national anthem. “He’s a feature on everything else,” reads a statement from the petition starter. “So why not?”

As a result, the Migos rapper says he feels obligated to make this happen now. “I’m the huncho,” he explained. “When you’re the huncho, you’re the boss. You gotta stand on whatever the people want you to do. Huncho for president.”

This echoes Q’s thoughts on the petition, which he tweeted when the news first broke. “SO THEY WANT HUNCHO TO BE FEATURED ON THE NATIONAL ANTHEM LETS ROLL,” he wrote.

While he hasn’t made his own version of the anthem just yet, parody versions have been circulating online.

Whether he does this or not, Quavo is staying busy. The rapper is featured on Camila Cabello’s single “OMG” and has also collaborated with Nicki Minaj. On top of all of that, he is also gearing up to drop a joint project with Travis Scott in the near future.
