On the heels of the vulnerable “No Not You” video, K. Michelle seeks revenge in the deadly visual for “Crazy Like You,” the latest single off KIMBERLY: The People I Used to Know.
The dark clip opens with a Scott Adams quote: “Nothing inspires forgiveness quite like revenge.” Kimberly then takes over as a femme fatale, singing about how her lover’s done her wrong in an abandoned warehouse.
Backed by neon-colored walls, she’s joined by a team of badasses. But Kimberly does her killing on her own, sitting in the backseat of an old school ride with her victim behind the steering wheel.
Although K. Michelle appears to be seducing the driver, things take a lethal turn, when she puts a bag over his head and suffocates him to death while rhyming about his weak sex game. Dreezy comes through for a cameo, helping Kimberly get rid of the body.
Before releasing the new clip, K. Michelle seemed to indicate that it was a nod to the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, who famously burned down her boyfriend Andre Rison’s mansion in 1994.
“Crazy Like You” follows “No Not You” and “Fuck Your Man” as singles off the soulful singer’s December album, KIMBERLY: The People I Used to Know.
