Fresh off “All to You,” Sabrina Claudio teams up with Khalid for a rising singer celebration on the loving “Don’t Let Me Down.”

Claudio provides a sultry approach, while Khalid brings soulful vibes over Sad Money’s production. Together, they sing about a budding romance and the chances for disappointment.

“Don’t let me down,” they sing in harmony. “I told you things about me / Don’t let me down / I let you put your arms around me.”

“[The song is] about showing someone the vulnerable side of you and asking them, no matter what you do, just don’t prove me right,” said Claudio. “Don’t give me a reason to be guarded again.”

Additionally, Claudio says that the collaboration came about organically. “I had the whole song written but I was like, ‘This is missing something.’ I’m quite picky with features,” she told Beats 1. “Besides the fact that I want to be personal with whoever I have a feature with, vocally it’s really important for me that it just fits. So Khalid came to mind.”

“I just sent him the song over text and I was like, ‘Tell me what you think. Honestly, I hear your voice on this. If you’re willing to jump on it I’d be honored,'” she added. Khalid knocked the track out the next day.
