While he awaits his court case, Juelz Santana keeps kicking with “Liu Kang,” his remix to Nicki Minaj’s “Chun-Li.” For his revamp, the Dipset MC compares himself to the “Mortal Kombat” character from the fighting game series.
Over the “Chun-Li” instrumental, Santana references Yao Ming, Bruce Lee, Pimp C, Bun B, and more. He also explains his new nickname while name checking Minaj.
“I do tings, I still move tings,” he raps. “Nicki’s Chun-Li, I’ll be Liu Kang / Now bust it open for me, like the blue flame / You see gang-gang, that’s my Wu-Tang / Let my jewels hang, that’s my mood swing / Call me Slick Rick, they know I rule tings.”
Santana is currently embroiled in legal issues. Last week, he was indicted on weapons charges following a bizarre gun-related incident at Newark Liberty International Airport. He faces 20 years in prison.
