YG has been arrested on a felony robbery charge after allegedly stealing a chain off a man’s neck at a Las Vegas casino.
The “Big Bank” rapper appeared in a Vegas courtroom on Thursday (July 12) after turning himself in on a warrant. He was charged with felony robbery and released after posting $20,000 bail.
Following his court appearance, YG tweeted “OUT ON BAIL” with the laughing face emoji.
According to TMZ, the incident occurred in late May at The Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino around 4 a.m., after a man approached YG and asked for a photo but was turned away by his crew. The man reportedly responded by telling the Compton rapper he’s not a real celebrity. YG then cursed at him and told his crew to “Get him” before snatching the chain off his neck.
In the casino’s surveillance footage, YG is seen picking up the jewelry off the floor. The gold chain and diamond-laced pendant is reportedly valued between $3,000 and $9,000.
The alleged victim is also suing YG for $250,000, claiming he had his crew beat him up before taking his jewelry.
