Following a string of collaborations with Halsey, Khalid, Swae Lee, and Calvin Harris, benny blanco teams up with Juice WRLD on his latest single “Roses” featuring Brendon Urie.

The “Lucid Dreams” rapper and Panic! at the Disco frontman come together on the emo rap-rock hybrid. “Roses are red, violets are blue, my heart is dead, I’m such a fool,” sings Juice. “Why did I fall for you? I gave it all for you.”

Blanco tells Beats 1 that he and Juice WRLD have recorded over 50 songs, but this was the first one they did. The pairing of Juice with Urie was something he wanted to do for a long time.

“I was like, how has no one done this yet? How has no one put together the emo dudes with the emo rappers?” said Blanco. “We’ve probably made 50 records, but it was the first one we ever made and I always loved it so much and I was like, ‘Bro, how are we not putting the dude form Panic! at the Disco on this, Brendon Urie?’ And he was just like, ‘Dude, you know him?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah.'”

“Roses” follows “Eastside” with Halsey and Khalid, “I Found You” with Calvin Harris, and “Better to Lie” with Jesse and Swae Lee. Blanco is now working on Halsey’s upcoming album and says he wants to release a song each week.
