To celebrate the 25th anniversary of their landmark debut Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), Wu-Tang Clan invaded NPR’s “Tiny Desk Concert” for a retrospective mashup.
Backed by The Green Project, Inspectah Deck, Cappadonna, U-God, GZA, and Masta Killa kicked things off with 1997’s “Triumph,” while Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s son Young Dirty Bastard channeled his late father.
The 20-minute medley, which spanned the group’s catalog, continued with classics like “Glaciers of Ice,” “Winter Warz,” “You Don’t Want to Dance,” and “Protect Ya Neck,” capping off with “C.R.E.A.M.”
“Wu-Tang is for the kids!” RZA proclaimed at one point during the performance.
In honor of Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)‘s 25th anniversary, the group performed “Protect Ya Neck” and “C.R.E.A.M” on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” in October.
