Following “Only Child” and “Clones,” Tierra Whack debuts the third installment in her #WhackHistoryMonth series, “Gloria.”

On the Nick Verruto production, the Philly rapper details her work ethic and winning spirit. “I’m gonna win regardless / Swear that I work the hardest / Most of y’all dudes are garbage,” raps Tierra. “I know I’ve been chosen / Got the golden token.”

During an interview with Beats 1, she explained how the song came together. “‘Gloria’ is a song I made a while ago,” she told Zane Lowe. “I just remember hearing this certain sound that [Verruto] was playing. I’m like, ‘Yo, you just got to keep that going, keep that going.’ We added the bass, and it’s kind of like more trap, but fun free. Sometimes I hear beats and I’m like, ‘It’s too mainstream…I can’t connect.’ This beat, it felt so good. It was there, but it was also still here. It felt real.”

Tierra, who released her debut album Whack World in May 2018, made her television debut on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” last night, where she performed “Only Child” and “Hungry Hippo.” You can catch her performing at Coachella next month.
