Alex Da Kid has collaborated with Eminem, Rihanna, and his latest bragging rights, Dr. Dre, but he’s venturing outside of hip-hop and R&B with Avril Lavigne. The hitmaker logged studio time with the pop-rocker, revealing that she reached out to him after hearing B.o.B’s “Airplanes,” which he produced.
“It’s a mixture of pop-rock and what I do,” the Londoner told Rap-Up TV of the “Complicated” singer’s next album. “We’ve got some things that are hip-hop leaning and we’ve got some things that are more pop-rock leaning, so it’s what we both do just kind of combined into one thing.”
Watch as Alex shares their drunk studio sessions and the promise Avril never kept.
