Game’s upcoming album Jesus Piece is already full of collaborations and he’s looking to add one more. The Compton rapper has reached out to Nicki Minaj about laying down a verse for one of the records, which also features Trey Songz. “We got in touch and she said she’ll kill it, but she’s doing major work, making major money,” he told Rap-Up TV.
The concept goes hand-in-hand with the album’s religious theme. “It’s basically about walking out of the back door of church and falling into the front door of a strip club,” he explained. “I want to get the word and I want my belief to be in God, but at the same time, I want to see that ass clap.”
The outspoken MC also weighed in on the Nicki vs. Mariah Carey “American Idol” feud, taking a diplomatic stance. “I think one day when Nicki’s career is said and done, she’ll be legendary,” said Game. “I think that Mariah Carey is bigger than life. I think she’s like female Elvis at this point. Two amazing women should be able to get along and I’d love to see that happen sooner than later.”
Jesus Piece is slated for release on December 11 and Game recently unveiled the controversial cover art, which already has everyone talking.
