With Lil Wayne expected to be sentenced to a year in jail for gun possession this week, Shanell speaks on how the Young Money camp will cope while the boss is away and how his absence will affect hip-hop.
“He spent the whole year building up this name Young Money not to let a situation like that mess it up, so we all know our roles and we’re all gonna just keep driving this engine,” she tells Rap-Up TV.
Although he may be gone physically, Weezy has plans to keep his presence alive. “We have some work under our belt and some surprises because he’s a genius and he’s thought of different ways to keep it going through the months.”
