Teairra Mari is starting over. After most of the material from her sophomore album At That Point leaked, the R&B vixen decided it was time to go back to the drawing board and re-record and re-title the project. “Honey, I am past that point,” she told Rap-Up TV, while revealing that she’s already done four new songs with producer HotSauce and songwriter London.
She also spoke about more immediate projects, including her EP Sincerely Yours, due August 17, and upcoming DJ Drama mixtape, which features remixes to songs by Drake, Usher, Alicia Keys, and Young Jeezy.
Plus, what makes her so resilient in spite of the uphill battle she’s faced? “I don’t come from much,” shared Teairra. “I would never want to go back to [my previous situation]. I just want to put my all into whatever it is I do.”
Listen to the Mavado-assisted “Coins,” a song that will not appear on her EP.
