Rap-Up TV: Zonnique and Tiny Open Up About Airport Arrest
Tiny’s daughter and T.I.’s stepdaughter Zonnique Pullins is opening up about her recent arrest.
Last month, the 20-year-old singer was taken into custody for carrying a gun at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta. In an exclusive interview with Rap-Up TV, she says it was simply a mistake.
“The incident at the airport was honestly just a big mistake,” she admits. “I’m already aware that I can’t have a gun at the airport so I just really forgot that it was in my purse.”
Sitting beside Zonnique, Tiny explains that she wasn’t mad at her daughter for carrying the weapon.
“I bought it for her,” she says. “I actually didn’t buy any bullets, but I guess she took it upon herself to get her own bullets. We go to the gun range and she learned how to work the gun the professional way… She needed [the gun] because she’s got a lot of things going on, stalker-ish stuff, things like that. So, I felt like she needed protection.”
Beyond the airport incident, Tiny and Zonnique also revealed what fans can expect from the sixth season of “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle,” which premieres July 18 at 9 p.m. on VH1.
“We have a new addition to the family [baby Heiress] so you’ll see a little bit of that going on, before she came,” explains Tiny. “The kids are really growing up so they have a lot going on.”
