Rap-Up.com || Video: Usher f/ will.i.am

Lights, camera, Usher! The R&B superstar keeps his eye on the prize in the performance-driven video for “OMG,” the first international single from his new album Raymond v. Raymond. The Anthony Mandler-directed visuals feature a skirted will.i.am, who also produced the Auto-Tuned song.

“The video is a spectacle,” Mandler told Rap-Up.com. “It really emphasizes what we love about Usher and the character and the icon that he is, and most importantly, it’s really a video that showcases his superstardom.”

I appreciate Ush’s passion for his work but throwing singles back-to-back against the wall in hopes that one will stick is never a good sign. I’ll give his album a listen and see if it’s any good.

Usher fell off BIGTIME. All the videos from Raymond Vs Raymond are horrible. Im glad i downloaded his album 2 weeks ago because i wont be purchasing it.

OMG this video is a huge fail. The lazer lights and everything from the Yeah video and all smh. One thing u never do is recreate a scene from a video u did from a huge album of the past. Usher u lost me with this one. Just horrible, he wants his career to be over. He is not a true artist. So disapointing.

Sidenote: Whoever Baron and Will are obviously don’t watch TV nor listens to the radio, considering the fact that his latest single (Daddy’s Home) is #3 on Billboard…and I bet you don’t have ‘Here I Stand’ that album was a very solid album 10/17 ain’t bad…

i love usher but this is just not it. This video is not original, its a rip off of all the videos that @Thisaintit mentioned. All the videos from this RVR era are just so dull. If u love music then u know damn well that this video is a huge fail. MJ never redid any videos from his past albums and all the greats didnt either. usher is jacking other artists videos and throwing them into his. What ever happened to originality. I guess u can throw that out the window now.

I loved the video, I def. see elements of “yeah” and that J.T. flavor, n the ladies were def. influenced by Love Sex Magic choreo. but it worked

My issue is that I expect WAY more choreo.+goin hard dance moves. He’s the hottest dancer in the game. He needs to keep it alive and going strong. Chris is out of the picture, so that only leaves Usher. I loved the Video, but just like LiL Freak->it lacked his reputation on being the hottest Dancer.

Wow. This was just an awful song, and an even worse video. Its to much like JT’s stuff and Usher’s old videos like Yeah! This is a huge disappointment, OMG did this suck or what!

Michael wouldn’t be happy with this, you really dropped the ball in both styling and creativity for this. Luckily you have a couple songs that are good, but this is just horrible.
It is never a good sign that an artist just keeps throwing out song after song from an album and hoping that one will stick to someone.

I do like however, Lil Freak, More, Daddy’s Home, and Guilty.
