Video: Mary J. Blige f/ Diddy & Lil Wayne – ‘Someone to Love Me (Naked)’

Lil Wayne, Mary J. Blige, and Diddy

Mary J. Blige flashes back to the past in the ominous video for “Someone to Love Me (Naked),” the first offering from her 10th studio album My Life II: The Journey Continues, due September 20.

The Colin Tilley-directed clip, co-starring Diddy and Lil Wayne, spotlights a blonde MJB as she wanders through a disorienting corridor and sings on the edge of a broken bridge, later linking up with Puff and Weezy as lightning flashes around them.

Watch the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul brave the storm below.

I dont really like the song, but I gotta question… is Colin Tilley the only freaking music video director out now?? Every video Ive seen lately is by him. He did Keri’s videos, Dirty Money’s videos, Chris Brown video & now Mary!!

good buzz single. now she has to follow up with the record with the impact of “be with you”/”family affair”/”not gon’ cry”/etc.

Love the video. Whether these stupid asses like you Mary, you have been doing your thing. 9 grammsy, 9 multiplatinum albums, and what has Keyshia Cole gotten..NOTHING!!! So Keyshia need to fall back and put out some real music then that bullshit she threw together

    [Reply]

    Tyler G Reply:

@QueenofHipHopSoul, Keyshia cole does real music, what the hell r u talkin about! She is one of the few musicians who still does real r&b. You need to fall back.

what about that Dirty Money song on Last Train To Paris?? it’s the same isn’t it… i don’t really understand the point of getting someone else on that song.. And Diddy – or whatever his name is – can’t rap.

Mary is the ONLY woman from the 90s still slaying these young R&B chicks her last 3 albums Stronger 330,000 first week, Growing Paing 690,000 first week The Breakthrough 730,000 first week Bee, Keyshia, Keri, Nicki wish they could have these#s 20 years into their career and Mary dont have to show ass or use gimicks to sell units…Bitches!!!!!!!!!!!!

MARY IS NOT FOR THE DRAMA, SHE IS AND WILL REMAIN THE QUEEN OF R&B SOUL YALL COMPARING HER TO THESE YOUNG ASS BITCHES WHO WERE INSRPIRED BY HER! BYEEE REGUARDLESS OF WHAT MARY DOES YOU CANT ERASE HER LEGACY, JUST LIKE KIM. BUT UNLIKE KIM MARY DOESNT ACT LIKE A CHILD WHO NEEDS TO BE REMEMBERED AND CRIES WHEN SOMEONE HOT COMES OUT. LOVE YOU MARY, DO YA THANG!

    [Reply]

    HoustonGirl Reply:

@DREW, Iam pretty sure if Keyshia came out dissing her and other RnB stars Mary J.Blige would have a problem with that.Don’t make lil kim seem like the bad person when all she was doing was defending herself.

    [Reply]

    ken Reply:

    @HoustonGirl, exactly!!!

    [Reply]

    Um.Well.Sure. Reply:

@ken, To say that Mary would act like Kim if she where in the same position is complete ludicrous. Since day 1 Mary has always presented herself as a lady and nothing else. That’s why no one can say anything bad about her because even if someone came at her sideways she’s still going to do her regardless. The difference between Hip-Hop and R&B…

I love the video, I like the clothes. I don’t know about the song, it will have to grow on me. It could do without Diddy and Wayne, I didn’t understand where the verse fit. Still love to all.

Leave it to Rihanna lol your joking on that one. Shes making the genre that i love turn into a joke. We need artists, true artist like Mary to show the wannabes what the real R&B is about not this pop shit love this track and the video is tops 5/5

I really like this song & video it has that real old school feel good R&B feel to it! I don’t know if it’s just me but Mary sound a lot like Lauryn Hill on it too though which might be because I think it has a sample of a Lauryn record!
