@Cranberry, Yeah whatever… Just like most people’s guesses and theory. Bringing Chris up in every post you see keeps him relevant. What part of that do you twats not comprehend? Do you know he would’ve been long gone by now, if you people would stop caring so much about what he says/does? But I guess he has people like you to thank for that for the most part. An invisible hand is never far away.

@Wozzle, it’s because he went to the other side of the spectrum this time. I don’t think he purposely put out a long track, though. If he wanted to cater to people’s demands of a longer track, he would have been smart enough to realize the average person holds an attention span of 3 to 5 minutes tops, when it comes to songs. It’s not like the “criticism”, if you want to call it that, comes out of the blue. Nine minutes is a very long time and not every person likes to listen to the same track for that long. I personally didn’t have a problem with it, but I can see why others would have.
[Reply]
CleoJam Reply:
June 17th, 2012 at 9:56 am
@Wozzle, I prefer a longer song, because if it’s almost 10 minutes long and still great, it’s obviously a classic. Longer songs show more talent, and with sound like this, Frank should blow up this year.

Im curious to see if people who claim it sounds as if it’s two separate songs actually listened.
The change up at 5:23 is a turn in narrative.. Listen to the lyrics and you’ll realize that the overall concept/execution is pulled off exceptionally. It’s referencing the exploitation of women (Black women to be specific). The cynicism towards the system that exploits them is apparent in paralleling Cleopatra, Queen of the Nile with a nameless vixen who is only Queen of the Pole…
Frank is an EXTREMELY intelligent guy

It always takes me a minute to understand wtf he’s talking about b/c he has such clever word play in his lyrics but all I can say about this song is that it’s AMAZING.
He could’ve kept it simple & called the girl a hoe but the fact that he uses different analogies in his music to express a situation is great. Looking forward to 7/17!

@Miles, Not really about a stripper but a prostitute. “She works on the pyramids” means she works on a D. The text gots reference to queen Cleopatra on old Egypt and the relation between this girl and a customer.

I’ve got one interrogation,
the album will come on july 17th???
It will be cool but it means that it will be the first album to come with only 1 month of promo???
Even an album from DefJam like Rick Ross got more than 2 months between the annoucement of the release date and the relaese date, so wait and see if this will be push back
Song cool btw. Lot of meaning in this
[Reply]
June 11th, 2012 at 6:38 am
It sounds nice, but I am having a hard time understanding all the words and understanding the meaning behind them. But you can still sense the amount of emotion put into his music, whether you understand the meaning or not and capturing emotion like that shows of true craftsmanship for me. So, I will have to listen to it a couple of more times, to fully understand what the song is about, but overall it’s a good listen.
