Rap-Up.com || Trailer: Dawn Richard

After igniting her solo career with “Bombs,” Dawn Richard unleashes the cinematic teaser for “Automatic,” the second single off her No. 1 EP Armor On. The former Dirty Money diva transforms into a golden android, sporting metallic paint as she contorts her body. She rocks a blonde wig and black body makeup in another scene straight out of a sci-fi flick.

“For this video, we wanted to show the depth and versatility to our story,” said Dawn. “With ‘Bombs’ we focused on full-out choreography. We want to bring something new every time we release a visual. With ‘Automatic’ it’s more story-focused. It’s the rebellion against what the world wants you to be and what really lies underneath it all when you realize your own self-worth.”

The full video will premiere on June 18, but Rap-Up.com has your first look.

u know what…i was originally a fan of Dawn back in the Making the Band and Danity Kane days…then when she was part of Dirty Money, I lost interest…

then when she went the indie route, initially, i wasn’t checkin 4 her AT ALL…

but i’m not gonna lie…Dawn is def winning me over again…the EP has grown on me tremendously and i’m loving it!!…and these visuals are gettin better and better…
