Rap-Up.com || New Music: Eve – ‘She Bad Bad’

Make way for E-V-E. Following the return of Missy Elliott last month, Eve makes her long-awaited comeback with “She Bad Bad,” the first offering from her fourth album Lip Lock. Over a chanting beat produced by JukeBox (“Whip My Hair”), the Scorpion delivers stinging verses about her re-entry into the game and her competitors.

“Now I’m back, forget about them other chicks, man, you won’t miss them/ Yeah, E-V-E hungry like a lion … Your gimmick make me sicki/ What you sellin’, I ain’t buyin’,” she raps.

After announcing her departure from Interscope Records in 2010, the Philly MC has launched her own label Blondie Rockwell Inc. Her first album in over a decade is due next year.

“I wanted to really take what people loved of me and fell in love with in the beginning, with the Ruff Ryders and all of them, and combine it with where I am now,” she told TIME of the follow-up to 2002’s Eve-Olution.

This song is awesome. Eve shows that she can make a hit without going the pop route and sticking to her formula. This is a hit without a doubt. Its so easy to turn to a producer like Red One or David Guetta for some generic pop single but the real test is to show that you can make a Hip Hop hit that can stand on its own on the Billboard charts and this can definately do that.

@queen minaj, Why does every NICKI stan go on Lil Kim, Missy, Trina, LoLa Monroe, Iggy, Azelia, or Brianna Perry’s post trying to run down Nicki’s resume like the world doesnt see she’s having success right now? We dont need to be reminded that Nicki is having success right now. Yall make it a point to try and rub it in other fan base faces like we should stop admiring our favs and start supporting Nicki. This song is nice and if you didn’t know its a lead up song to her album ontop of that, do you even know whose producing on her album? Its probably going to be better than any of her previous albums, and this song is nice especially the bass. Eve is a boss, nicki is a female “chucky doll”.
