After debuting “Twenty Eight” yesterday, The Weeknd breaks us off with another gem off his upcoming album Trilogy, available November 13.
“Valerie, why pretend to trust in me?” croons the Toronto native on the slinky production, which premiered on BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe.
He released a visual teaser for the track last month.

i can never get into this guy fully; sounds like he be whining on his records. production is ill, but his vocals are lacking & very one-trick pony to me.

Same ‘ol, same ‘ol. And some of his delusional stans have the audacity to put his shit name in the same sentence with that of the King of Pop’s.

@Frankie, I don’t know if you’re listening correctly, but his voice is very similar to MJ’s.

The Weeknd’s voice is horrible, but the vibe of his songs are smooth. I still don’t see how people bash The-Dream’s music but embrace this lesser imitation of him.

@Ice, The-Dream sounds horrible live. The Weeknd isn’t that great live either but at least he sounds good enough live. The Dream is completely tone death live. He makes great music live. But The Dream and The Weeknd’s music sound nothing alike to me. Production wise and vocal wise they sound nothing alike. I don’t know where people make the comparison
