Take them back to the ’90s.
In anticipation of his upcoming album blackSUMMERS’night, which is due July 1, Maxwell has unleashed the lyric video for “1990x.”
The track is a mellow one, delivering classic R&B. “Lay here closely beside me,” he sings. “Feel my heart as it’s pounding / We will climax with reason / ‘Cause we’re grown and we own it.”
Space-themed visuals fill the lyric video, with clips of astronauts and the moon, along with scenes of sensual kissing.
This release follows in the footsteps of “Lake By the Ocean’s” music video, which featured some bedroom action.
