M.I.A. and Diplo are flying together once again.

Despite their rocky past, the two musicians have reunited for an alternate version of “Bird Song” off M.I.A.’s upcoming fifth and final album AIM.

Just last week, a Blaqstarr remix emerged, but here, Diplo reworks the kazoo-filled banger, adding his own twists and turns to the beat while M.I.A. provides bird-inspired wordplay.

“Is that a crow on a crane?” she asks. “Is that you or a plane? Where’s your chicken at? I’m watching like a hawk.”

M.I.A. and Diplo have had a relationship filled with ups and downs. Last year, she complained about the producer in a Rolling Stone interview.

“I was with Diplo and he basically just like shat on every good thing that was happening to me, and I just didn’t enjoy it,” she said. “I can see that he was just jealous and he couldn’t wait to be Taylor Swift’s best friend and date Katy Perry.”

Eventually, the two announced their reconciliation with a Diplo photo captioned: “Best friends forever.”

Listen to the Diplo remix below.

Both the Diplo and Blaqstarr versions of “Bird Song” will appear on M.I.A.’s AIM, the follow-up to 2013’s Matangi. The 17-track set also includes guest appearances from Zayn Malik and Dexta Daps.

Additionally, M.I.A. tagged a host of others on her Instagram post of the tracklisting, including Chris Brown and Polow Da Don, though it’s unclear what their contributions, if any, were to the album.
