Fetty Wap Brings $165,000 Cash to Court to Pay Off $360 Fine
Fetty Wap makes it rain in court.
In an effort to pay off traffic violation fees, the New Jersey MC brought $165,000 in cash to the courthouse. However, he ended up bringing far too much money since he was only fined $360.
What was Fetty’s violation? According to Wap, it was simply a case of DWB-AR. “Driving while black and rich,” he said in a NJ.com news video.
But TMZ says the 1738 boss was in fact facing charges for driving with a suspended license, failure to replace lost or defaced license plates, and having overly tinted windows. All of this, the report adds, comes from his July arrest.
There’s good news for Fetty, who posed with stacks outside of the court house. He paid off his fines and can keep his windows tinted. Wap’s lawyer argued that it’s necessary due to the “Trap Queen” star’s glaucoma.
Now, Fetty can focus on the music. He’s currently working on the follow-up to last year’s self-titled debut, due this winter.
