Joey Bada$$ drops another remix. After flipping Prince’s “When Doves Cry” and Jay Rock’s “King’s Dead,” Joey Bada$$ revamps YBN Nahmir’s “Bounce Out With That.”
Over thumping drums, Jozif Badmon raps about gang ties, his Rolex, and independence. “Put that on my mother, I’m a jiggy motherfucker,” he boasts. “Pullin’ up with a redbone like my name was Donald Glover.”
But the Pro Era MC doesn’t stop at Childish Gambino references. “Hit ’em up, I feel like 2Pac,” he rhymes. “Bitch, I’m sicker than a flu shot / Pussy ni**a, why you always trying to front like something you not.”
The remix follows several buzz tracks. After claiming that hip-hop is in “a very trash state,” Joey released “Thugz Cry,” “King of the Jungle,” a “King’s Dead” remix with XXXTentacion, and another X collaboration, “Infinity (888).” He is also reportedly planning to release a joint project with Tentacion.
