Ciara Asks Court to Force Future Into Mediation Over Their Son
Ciara and Future’s custody battle continues.
This time it involves visitation over their son Future. According to legal docs obtained by TMZ, Ciara has asked a court to force the father of her son into mediation so they can figure out a new travel schedule for the 4-year-old.
If a judge is unable to make it happen, Ciara is seeking a trial to settle the matter.
Ciara claims Future is often an absentee father and skips scheduled visits, frequently at the last minute. He sometimes leaves his son with his mother or grandmother without spending much time with him, which has caused conflicts with her schedule.
Ciara says the back-and-forth has weighed on Future Jr., and she wants to figure out a better schedule for their son. Her team has been trying to settle the issue without a judge to no avail.
The former couple, who were once engaged, welcomed their son in May 2014. They have been involved in an ongoing legal battle over custody, which has sometimes played out on social media.
