Mary J. Blige

Hail Mary. After debuting the singles “Therapy” and “Whole Damn Year,” the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul blesses us with another song off her upcoming album The London Sessions. Over a pulsing electro beat, Mary yearns to be in the arms of her lover.

“You’re the only one I’m there for / The only one I care for / Nobody but you,” she sings.

Earlier today, she called into Ryan Seacrest to praise Sam Smith, who wrote on her album. “There hasn’t been a voice to come along in a very long time that has so much emotion, so much depth, so much truth, so much finesse, so much soul, so much style,” she said of the British crooner. “There hasn’t been anything like this since the Mary J. Blige movement.”

MJB has assembled some of the U.K.’s finest including Disclosure, Emile Sandé, and Naughty Boy for Sessions, which will be released on December 2.
