Lupe Fiasco answers the call on his new single “Pick Up the Phone.” Not to be confused with Travis Scott and Young Thug’s song of the same name, the Chicago rapper returns to a more commercial sound on the rap-rock hybrid, which features a radio-ready hook from a male vocalist.

“I just need a minute to replenish who I am and who I am is so dependent on exactly where we stand,” raps Lupe.

Earlier this year, he announced that he will retire after dropping three albums by the end of 2016—DROGAS, DROGAS light, and SKULLS.

“Love rap but don’t give a fuck about music or anything that comes with it,” Lupe told a fan.
