Drake and Taylor Swift are up to somethin’.
The powerhouse duo is reportedly collaborating on new music. A source tells E! News that the music they’re working on is “different,” but also “very catchy.”
Apparently, it’s been a fun process thus far. According to the insider, they’ve been “having a great time in the studio.”
Speculation ramped up when Swift attended Drizzy’s 30th birthday party last month. A partygoer revealed that they were seen “near the DJ together talking, his arm over her shoulder for a minute like a real friend moment” and that it “looked like they were talking about something deep.”
Some fans wondered if this meant a relationship was brewing, but a source denies that notion. “They are not dating or hooking up,” the insider said. “They are both purely friends.”
Swift is no stranger to rap. She’s often talked about her appreciation for hip-hop artists. She also collaborated with Kendrick Lamar on 2014’s “Bad Blood” and appeared in an Apple Music ad playing Drake and Future’s “Jumpman.”
Speaking of “Bad Blood,” the Drake/Taylor combo may be surprising to some given Swift’s ongoing feud with Kanye West. Drizzy and Yeezy are reportedly working on a collaborative album.
It’s unclear where Drake and Swift’s new material will land. Drizzy is currently readying his More Life project for December.
