Art imitates life in the video for Kodak Black’s PnB Rock-assisted single “Too Many Years” off the controversial rapper’s Lil Big Pac LP.

Directed by Devkamera, “Too Many Years” features aerial views of a cemetery and a prison, while Kodak and Rock lament about friends they’ve lost.

“I swear I done shed too many tears for ni**as that I won’t get back,” sings PnB. “I got ni**as in the graveyard / Ni**as in the state yard.”

The visual also includes footage of Kodak in court, shackled in a jumpsuit. His mugshot flashes across the screen, as he raps about being “lost up in the system.”

“Too Many Years” arrives on the heels of Kodak’s real life legal issues. Last month, the rapper was arrested once again for a probation violation.

Despite his legal woes, Kodak is thriving on the Billboard Hot 100. His single “Tunnel Vision” rose to No. 6 this week, marking his highest placement on the chart to date.
