Kodak Black might be locked up, but that won’t stop him from releasing new music.
The Pompano Beach rapper has revealed the cover art and release date for his highly-anticipated album, Painting Pictures.
Due March 31, the “street album” was announced with a one-minute video that includes interviews with Kodak and associates. “I grew up looking up to ni**as that be on the corner,” says Black. “I can’t stop ’cause if I stop, then I’ma disappoint ’em.”

The visual shows Kodak being released from jail, performing at a nightclub, and scenes from his “Tunnel Vision” video. All of this leads up to the cover, which is an illustration of Black, painting a self-portrait. He’s surrounded by graffiti-laced walls with lyrics from his recent releases.

Lil Kodak has been plagued with a series of legal issues over the past year. Currently, he’s locked up for violating the terms of his house arrest and probation.
Painting Pictures follows the success of “Tunnel Vision,” which is currently No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100.
