J. Cole's '2014 Forest Hills Drive' Goes Double Platinum

  /  10.22.2016

J. Cole has officially gone double platinum…with no features.

The North Carolina rapper’s 2014 album 2014 Forest Hills Drive has been certified 2x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

This marks Cole’s first album to reach that milestone. His 2011 debut, Cole World: The Sideline Story, and 2013’s Born Sinner both went platinum.

Forest Hills Drive peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and three singles broke the Hot 100, including “Wet Dreamz” (peaking at No. 61), “Apparently” (peaking at No. 58), and “No Role Modelz” (peaking at No. 36).

Cole promoted the album on the road and even released Forest Hills Drive Live earlier this year. However, he’s currently taking a break from live performances while crafting a 2014 FHD follow-up.
