Video: Bruno Mars - 'That's What I Like'

  /  03.01.2017

After performing “That’s What I Like” at the Grammys and the Brits, Bruno Mars brings his 24K Magic single to life once more in the vibrant music video.

Directed by Bruno and Jonathan Lia, the choreographed clip finds Bruno showing off his fancy footwork while decked out in a silk shirt and track pants. He reenacts the lyrics—driving a Cadillac, sipping champagne, and traveling to Paris—while animations pop up around him.

“That’s What I Like” has already become a major smash for Bruno. The song, which has been certified platinum by the RIAA, peaked at No. 4 on the Hot 100 and became his first No. 1 on the Hot R&B Songs chart.

“TWIL” is a direct product of ’90s influence. “It’s what we want to bring to the table musically,” he told Beats 1. “You hear these ’90s influences on the whole album, really, but 24K Magic is because of West Coast hip-hop: Dr. Dre, DJ Quik, Suga Free. This is what we grew up on. Listening to them, it was at a time when it was okay to party, to be flashy, to get on the dance floor.”

This Sunday (March 5), Bruno is set to be honored with the Innovator Award at the 2017 iHeartRadio Awards, where he will also perform. Then he will head out on his “24K Magic World Tour” with Anderson .Paak. The global run starts March 28 in Antwerp and comes to a close Nov. 11 in Los Angeles.

Jump in the Cadillac and ride out with Bruno.
