New Music: Frank Ocean feat. Young Thug – ‘Slide on Me’

Frank Ocean is on a hot streak. After releasing “Lens” and the Travis Scott-assisted “Lens V2,” the Grammy-winning crooner unleashes a Young Thug remix to Endless’ “Slide on Me.”

Over a mellow acoustic guitar, Jeffery reflects on the infamous wardrobe malfunction seen ’round the world. “I screamed when I saw the titties on Janet Jackson,” he raps. “I’m screamin’ from the top of the planet / They first saw my swag, they was laughin’ / But my bitch bad, she doin’ damage.”

“Slide on Me” is a cut off Frank’s 2016 visual album Endless, which was released shortly before blonde. “I’m just all day running numbers,” sings Ocean. “How the fuck you think I live? / Too many heads waitin’ for my downfall / They’re like, ‘Something’s gotta give.'”

Prior to dropping “Lens,” “Lens V2,” and the remix to “Slide on Me” during the fifth episode of blonded Radio, Ocean surprised fans with “Chanel” and its A$AP Rocky-assisted remix, as well as “Biking” with Jay Z and Tyler, the Creator. He also teamed up with Calvin Harris on the Migos-assisted “Slide.”

It remains to be seen whether the new music will lead to another album. But fans will be able to catch Ocean on stage this year, as he headlines FYF Fest in Los Angeles in July.
