While Lil Wayne puts the finishing touches on Dedication 4, the mixtape’s host DJ Drama has been focused on his own album, Quality Street Music. Due September 25, the 12 “monstrous” cuts boast appearances from Drake, Wale, Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross, T.I., Common, Kendrick Lamar, Tyga, and more, with production from Hit-Boy, T-Minus, Cardiak, Boi-1da, Jahlil Beats, DJ Mustard, and Kane Beatz.
Fresh off shooting a video for his single “My Moment” in Toronto with Meek Mill, 2 Chainz, and Jeremih, the Gangsta Grillz creator spoke about one of the collabos in particular with Tyler, the Creator and Waka Flocka Flame.
“It’s a banger,” he told Rap-Up TV. “Just that collaboration in itself is gonna excite a lot of people ’cause those are two very big personalities in hip-hop, so [having them] on one record is pretty amazing.”
Another unexpected feature comes from Kevin Hart aka Chocolate Drop. “I think people are gonna be surprised by his bars. He gives some really incredible bars. 79 of ’em,” said Drama of the comedian’s rap alter ego.
