When she’s not writing hits for Beyoncé (“Jealous”) and Jennifer Hudson (“Walk It Out”), Lyrica Anderson is quickly making a name for herself as a solo artist.
In May, the L.A. singer-songwriter, who was previously signed to Timbaland’s Mosley Music Group, released her ’90s R&B-inspired EP King Me 2 featuring Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign, and Kevin Gates.
Now the gifted scribe has given DJ Khaled’s “Hold You Down” a makeover, showing off her sultry vocals and lyrical skills.
You can also hear her pen game on Tinashe’s A$AP Rocky-assisted single “Pretend” and Jeezy’s “Fuck the World” featuring August Alsina.
