Rye Rye goes “Boom Boom” on the energetic electro-hop single off her debut Go! Pop! Bang!, due May 15 on N.E.E.T. Recordings/Interscope. The Baltimore firecracker sings and raps over the fun and flirty track, which samples the familiar chorus from the Vengaboys’ ’90s hit “Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!!” You won’t be able to stay seated while listening to this dance floor-ready delight.

Don’t like it. Compared to Sunshine, this isn’t good. It sounds just like any mediocre song there is on Hot 100. It’s quite bad.

[...] It’s been more than four years since Rye Rye started turning heads outside Charm City with the raw, youthful charm of Blaqstarr-assisted “Shake It to the Ground”, more than one year since her eerily humming “Sunshower” collaboration with label chief M.I.A., and eight long months since her Robyn-sampling rap ballad “Never Will Be Mine,” and SPIN can now tell you Go! Pop! Bang! has a firm release date: May 15. Coming quickly on the heels of a guest verse on a booty-shaking track by “Like a G6″ hitmakers Far East Movement, her latest attempt at a much-deserved breakout single, “Boom Boom,” borrows a hook from ’90s party-popsters Vengaboys. Who, if you don’t remember, were sort of like the non-rapping, Eurodance forefathers of LMFAO. Hear it at Rap-Up. [...]

I hope she is a Pop artist cause I’m tired of these so called female rappers calling themselves rappers then doing a bunch of pop songs and when they sell a lot they want to attest it to being an amazing rapper *coughs* *Nicki Minaj* when all they do is make shitty pop songs. Damn if ppl wanna go pop then do it but DON’T call yourself a rapper cause you have lost that title…

Wonder if the album is really going to drop May 15th as planned? I hope she makes it because I love her style!!! It’s a decent song…I can see it catching on with the younger crowd.

She does Baltimore Club and did a song with Robyn nah I don’t consider her a rapper like Nicki wanna be pop since she been doing this since before her but she is electropop dance hip hop like Kid Sister.

I personally know RyeRye, and knowing her, she wanted to play with different sounds and take a stab at something different. I love the song, very catchy, and I will definitely be playing this and Baltimore is definitely gonna be behind this heavy. This is one for Bmore…Thanx “RyeFace” for another Great Track with your versatility.
Word of advice, stop expecting the same thing from a artist, you’ll get locked into believing thats all the artist can produce, that probably why only a few of you don’t like it. She’s versatile…get wit the program ppl
and on that note
BOOOM-BOOOM-BOOOM!

Rapping is something you do and RYE RYE raps thats her talent. people can rap in any genre of music.Does she do hardcore Rap Music no (who does still anyway?) but shes does have Hip Hop in her music and she does rap in her music. Boom Boom is a little more Pop but she still Raps, she can flow and she writes her own shit . Stop hating and get some Knowledge. This is not 1988 Hip Hip has changed and will continue to change its only in its 3rd decade and RYE RYE will make sure she leaves her stamp in the Hip Hop world but in the MUSIC world in General! GO! POP! BANG!
