Rap-Up.com || Future Calls Ciara’s ‘One Woman Army’ a ‘Classic’

Ciara and Future’s romance is proving to also be good for business. The new “it” couple has been in the studio firing up more records for CiCi’s upcoming album One Woman Army, which Future has already declared a “classic.”

During an interview with The FADER at SXSW, Future opened up about making music with his boo.

“She know what she want so it’s easy working with a superstar who done it over and over and over several times making hits,” said the “Turn On the Lights” rapper. “When we’re in the studio, we just go freelance and let her do whatever she do as an artist and I’m there to critique what she’s got going on.”

The two have already come up with the first single “Body Party,” which has been well-received by listeners.

“She’s so professional and intelligent, you wouldn’t believe it,” added Future. “Behind the scenes, her voice is so big. She’s so empowering.”

He praised the new material as some of her finest work yet. “That’s why One Woman Army gonna be one of the greatest albums she’s released ’cause she took her time with it. She overcame a lot and through time you will tell when she puts this album out, it’s gonna be one of those albums that you look back on. Today, I’m already calling it a classic before it even come out.”

A lovestruck Future professed his loyalty to CiCi. “Right now, I’m at the time in my life where I’m in the studio. I’m so engulfed in my music, I only need one woman,” he said.

In addition to Future, One Woman Army is set to feature production from Tricky Stewart, Rodney Jerkins, and The Underdogs, plus collaborations with Nicki Minaj and Rick Ross.

he’s definitely in love. Ciara is tremendously talented so she deserves to be as successful as her competition so hopefully this era goes well for her. Body Party is a great song but I hope she releases a mainstream single that will appeal to a broader audience cuz what she’s doing now is not going to sell an album. Hopefully L.A.Reid gets kn his shit and makes sure she’s promoted. it’s gonna take alot for the general public to get interested in her again. I love that she’s not giving up

He’s entitled to his opinion, as we are when we listen to it. Body Party is a solid record that hopefully does well on r&b formats. it’s sad and shady of me to say, but i feel like whatever ciara and future put together wont be as well received or have the quality of rihanna and future’s “loveeee song,” which hasn’t even been released as a single yet. as someone mentioned above, ciara’s music (shade alert: and her) lacks depth and personality. it and she, for that matter, are stuck in this juvenile “girl dance team” phase of music that hasn’t been well received by anyone. like everyone else, i want the girl to succeed, but she’s got some major soul searching to do before she’s a “superstar” as future so terribly put it. she’s been too preoccupied with being a socialite and staying in the blogs rather then locking her ass in the studio and making somewhat quality music. i’m still dismayed by the fact that she started promoing for this album last summer (in june) then went on a promo tour in the fall and waits till 3 months into the new year to give us a release date for this june. who promos for an album for a full year?? there’s nothing “classic” about that. ciara doesn’t have her shit together.

I love my girl Ciara!!! I feel Got Me Good is still one the best videos I’ve ever seen. Can’t get the song or choreography outta my head. I’m truly excited to hear and see more from CiCi!!!
