Solange Receives Key to New Orleans

Major key alert! Solange Knowles has received the key to the city of New Orleans.

The 29-year-old singer, who resides in the Big Easy with her husband Alan Ferguson and son Daniel Julez, was humbled by the honor. “I can’t put into words how grateful I am to be given the key to the city,” she tweeted. “New Orleans, from the bottom of my soul, I am so thankful.”

So how did she celebrate? By “playing Cash Money and No Limit all day.”

While Solange has a new key, she may also need a new ring. According to TMZ, she lost her wedding ring on Thursday (Feb. 4) during a Mardi Gras parade along St. Charles Avenue. She was there as New Orleans’ honorary muse, according to Nola.
