Drake Brings Out Migos & Playboi Carti at Adult Swim Upfront Party
Drake gives Adult Swim More Life.
Still burning up the Billboard 200 with his latest playlist, the 6 God headlined Adult Swim’s Upfront Party on Wednesday (May 17), but he didn’t do it alone. Instead, the OVO boss brought Migos and Playboi Carti to the function.
After dropping his debut LP, Carti performed his Lil Uzi Vert-assisted hit “wokeuplikethis*” with Drizzy beside him. “Woke up to ni**as talkin’ like me, talk,” rapped the ATLien. “Woke up to ni**as soundin’ like me.”

Then, Migos emerged to add some Culture to the bash. With Drake jumping alongside them, Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff launched into renditions of “T-Shirt” and their No. 1 smash “Bad and Boujee.” Later, Q stuck around for the flute-heavy “Portland” with Drizzy.

For his solo set, Drake promised to go over his time limit. “They asked me for like 15-20 minutes or some shit,” he said. “But look, I haven’t been to New York City in so long, that tonight, I said, ‘As long as I got a crowd that came here to party and get fucked up with me, I’ma give you a real Drake experience tonight.”

From there, the 6 God ran through his discography, touching on past hits like “Headlines” and “Started from the Bottom,” before going into more recent bangers like “Free Smoke” and “Jumpman.”

Drake is still celebrating the success of More Life, which is currently No. 5 on the Billboard 200. However, he could be working on new material already. The rapper recently shared a photo from producer Noah “40” Shebib’s studio that sparked new music rumors.
