Exclusive: Rick Ross Collaborates with Kanye West in Paradise

Rick Ross and Kanye West

Rick Ross is making movies with F. Gary Gray, sharing his Harley with Stacey Dash, and even hiring Diddy as his manager. For his latest power move, the Bawse jetted to Hawaii to collaborate with Kanye West for his new album.

The larger-than-life MC’s fourth effort Teflon Don, due July 6, is packed with enough heavy-hitters to fill a Maybach, including Jay-Z, Drake, Cee-Lo, No I.D., and Mr. West, who’s been spending his time on an island in the Pacific Ocean.

So Ross packed his bags and headed to paradise, where he met his Def Jam labelmate for “one of the best recording experiences of [his] career.” Their studio sessions yielded the song “Live Fast, Die Young.” “I feel like it’s one of the best records I’ve been a part of in my career,” he exclusively tells staging-rapup.kinsta.cloud. “Kanye produced it and we collaborated on it. It’s a phenomenal record. I’m just extremely excited.”

The track, a contender for Teflon Don‘s second single, will put the rapper in an unfamiliar place. “It’s most definitely gonna keep you on that dance floor,” he reveals. “You most definitely gonna appreciate it. The chorus is one to die for.”

But Ross remained coy when asked if he would appear on Kanye’s next album. “I don’t wanna discuss no details of his project, but we got a lot of things accomplished.”
