Miguel to Star in John Legend-Produced Romantic Drama

Miguel is headed to the big screen. The “Adorn” crooner is in talks to star in an untitled musical romantic drama produced by John Legend.

According to Variety, Miguel will make his acting debut as a “former one-hit wonder who regains his love for music when he is hired to coach an aspiring singer for her audition on a singing competition show.”

Nabil Elderkin, who has directed music videos for Legend (“All of Me”), Frank Ocean (“Pyramids”), and G.O.O.D. Music (“Mercy”), will make his feature film directorial debut.

The movie is scheduled to start production in September in Philadelphia.

In the meantime, Miguel is working on the follow-up to 2012’s Kaleidoscope Dream. In December, he dropped his three-song EP nwa.hollywooddreams.coffee.
