Drake Stars in T-Mobile Super Bowl Commercial

  /  02.02.2016

Drake is out here looking for a payday. With Views From the 6 due in April, October’s Very Own gets in the game in a Super Bowl commercial for T-Mobile, which parlays off the success of his “Hotline Bling” video. In the 30-second ad, the “Summer Sixteen” rapper is dancing on set of the video before the director yells “Cut!” The cellular executives then approach him with some (bad) suggested edits to the song.

“These changes don’t ruin the song at all,” says Drake with a laugh.

The campaign is to promote T-Mobile as the “Un-Carrier,” who won’t charge for overages: “Other wireless carriers ruin everything. Switch to T-Mobile, the Un-Carrier. Stream all you want.”

Drizzy is not the only member of Young Money who can be seen on Super Bowl Sunday. Lil Wayne also stars in a multi-million-dollar campaign for Apartments.com.
