Polly A is living a Ghetto Gold Dream.

After playing Lollapalooza earlier this month, the Milwaukee-bred, Harlem-based songstress (aka Meleni Smith) unleashes her five-track EP Ghetto Gold Dream via Interscope Records.

The title track finds Polly at her most confident. “I’m living my life,” she sings. “I’m a ghetto gold queen / I’m living my life in this ghetto gold dream.”

Ghetto Gold Dream also includes “Sing Along,” “Like We Used To,” and “Fire Fallin.” Beyond that, Polly hopes the album offers inspiration.

“No matter what background you have or where you come from,” she said. “You can still feel like a queen…At the end of the day, I’m working with what I’ve been given and pursuing that dream.”

Polly is no stranger to the music biz. She wrote for Alicia Keys (“Love Is My Disease”) and J. Cole (“Crooked Smile”) before catching the attention of Adam Levine, who signed her to his label 222 Records.
