Stream Willow Smith's 'Mellifluous' EP

  /  12.08.2016

A month after unleashing “November 9th” as a response to Donald Trump’s election, Willow Smith returns with a new three-track project titled Mellifluous.

The self-produced cuts “Cave Wall,” “Little Shard,” and “Need to Know” live up to the project’s title, offering soothing vocals over melodic instrumentals.

It’s a candid effort for the 16-year old, who explores her emotions throughout.

“I told her she could meet me at the park but she never did,” sings Willow on “Little Shard.” “I cried and cried and waited ’till the dark behind the lunar glare / Twirling, twirling, feeling so at home between her locks of hair.”

Mellifluous drops nearly a year after her debut album ARDIPITHECUS.
