N.E.R.D. Billboards Spark Album Rumors

  /  10.30.2017

A new N.E.R.D. album may be coming sooner than you think.

Seven years since their last project Nothing, it appears that the trio of Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo, and Shay Haley are ready to unleash a new album.

A series of ads are definitely making people think about that possibility more and more of late. Recently, fans have spotted billboards and posters around Los Angeles featuring “No One Ever Really Dies,” a take on the group’s acronym.

This weekend, keen fans saw N.E.R.D. ads at Tyler, the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival, the same place where the trio last performed in 2014.

News of a new album wouldn’t exactly be an unheard of surprise. A year ago, Skateboard P teased a new project from the trio when asked about it at ComplexCon. “There answer is yes,” he said, “When it’s time.”

The group will reunite on stage at this weekend’s ComplexCon, which they are set to headline on Saturday night (Nov. 4) in Long Beach, Calif.

N.E.R.D. dropped their debut album, In Search Of…, in 2002. The group went on to release Fly or Die (2004), Seeing Sounds (2008), and Nothing (2010) before going on an indefinite hiatus.
