Report: Drake to Perform at Snapchat's $4 Million NYE Bash

  /  12.31.2017

Drake could be closing out the year with Snapchat. The 6 God has reportedly been tapped as a surprise performer at the tech giant’s lavish New Year’s Eve party in Los Angeles, according to TMZ.

Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel has reportedly shut down major parts of L.A. Live for a reported $4 million, renting out several venues in Microsoft Square, including Microsoft Theater, Katsuya, Lucky Strike, Tom’s Urban, Conga Room, and Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill.

Insiders claim that the event will be a global celebration of the company, with employees flying in from all over the world. Snapchat’s permit allows them to host 5,000 quests, have a 105-foot DJ tower, and feature pyrotechnics.

Drizzy has not yet been confirmed as the performer. “We’re excited to celebrate a transformative year as a team,” said the company. “Evan is personally sponsoring the night’s performance.”

Last year, Drake brought in the new year at Hakkasan in Las Vegas, where he toasted to his enemies and More Life.
