Ariana Grande Drops New Single 'God is a woman'

  /  07.12.2018

After linking up with Nicki Minaj on “The Light Is Coming,” Ariana Grande debuts the official second single from her upcoming album Sweetener, “God is a woman.”

Despite the title, the song is actually a sensual bedroom jam, produced by ILYA and written by Ariana, Max Martin, Savan Kotecha, Rickard Göransson, and ILYA, which finds Ariana playing the role of a temptress with an angelic voice.

“I feel it after midnight / A feeling that you can’t fight,” she sings. “My one / It lingers when we’re done / You’ll believe God is a woman.”

A video for “God is a woman,” directed by Dave Meyers, is set to premiere Friday at noon EST.

Grande’s fourth album Sweetener is due Aug. 17 featuring the lead single “No Tears Left to Cry,” plus contributions from Missy Elliott, Pharrell, and Max Martin.
