SZA Readies New Single 'Brace Urself'
Brace yourself. SZA is almost ready to make her return.
Nearly two years since the release of her debut album Ctrl, the TDE songstress is teasing the follow-up. During a Twitter Q&A, she revealed that she’s shooting a music video for a song called “Brace Urself” next week. In response to a fan’s inquiry, she responded, “Shooting brace urself like next week.”

A 30-second snippet of “Brace Urself” was first shared in December and fans have been anticipating its release since then.
“You should’ve stuck to the script,” SZA sings on the track. “I’m tired of being sweet / I’m tired of being sweet / So baby brace yourself / It could be worse / You could be dead right now.”

SZA’s long-awaited sophomore album is getting closer to release. Earlier this month, she previewed another track and hinted that new music would arrive prior to her upcoming tour. SZA is set to perform at U.S. festivals including Governors Ball before heading to Australia and New Zealand in July.
